“Where there is sadness, [let me sow] joy.”
Veronique Flayol is a certified lecturer through the French Ministry of Culture, specializing in pilgrimages and spiritual journeys. She was born and lives in Provence at the foot of the mountain, where Mary Magdalene spent her final 30 years.
From a young age, Veronique felt closely connected to Mary Magdalene. At just 15, she co-founded the Association Santo Madaleno, a name meaning Saint Magdalene in the vernacular language of Provence. The association aims to preserve and celebrate traditions associated with Mary Magdalene. Every July, she organizes the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene in St. Maximin. Beyond her spiritual pursuits, Veronique is also a certified aromatherapist. Mary Magdalene, described as a "Myrrh bearer woman," pushed her to discover essential oils. She loves to work with the plants' energy and spirit as she prepares her meditation oils. She conducts workshops and retreats on making anointing oils and leads ceremonies to honor Mary Magdalene.
